Stephanie Seymour - Cosmo Cover Girl February 1994
ONCE AGAIN WITH CHILD:
"I'm eight months pregnant - by the time this cover's on the stands. I'll be the mom of a month-old baby boy. Who's the dad? I can't say [she's known to be living with socialite Peter Brandt], but I will tell you he's a real man. We've been together eleven months and are incredibly in love. We haven't gotten married yet - I have a whole lifetime for that, so what's the rush? Motherhood suits me great - I've already got a four-year-old boy. Still, pregnancy can make a woman crazy. It's like having PMS all the time. You cry for no reason, and suddenly nothing's clean enough - I'll sweep and reorganize cupboards, even when company's around."
NOT FAIR:
"I never, ever exercise - it's something I just hate. When my girlfriends go to the gym, I'll join them and end up sitting on the floor, watching them the whole time. But I do love getting body treatments - massages and wraps! Maybe after this second kid I'll have to start toning up. Even pregnant, thought, my body's kept its shape. The only thing that's gotten bigger is my stomach. I gained twenty pounds, and the doctor says, well, five pounds is water, five is placenta, and a little is breast milk. Pregnant or not, I eat a lot, but I try to stay away from ice cream and candy. If I didn't, like everybody else, I'd get a big old booty!"
PLEASED TO BE SEXY:
"Being in the Victoria's Secret catalog is great. I think it's taken the place of Playboy in some households - men just love having peeks, and little boys, so curious, will sneak off to look at a copy too. I'm thrilled to be known for doing the catalogs. I mean, I take my son to the park, and other little kids will point to me and say, "Hey, she's in Victoria's Secret!" Working with the company is a totally pleasant experience. I've built a relationship with them, and the photo shoots are so laid-back. What I won't do ever is work myself to death - I need to be there for my child. And I hate doing the couture shows. It's so competitive backstage with the other girls. Everyone's staring at everyone else, seeing whose wig, lipstick, body, is the best. Who wants that?"
