On November 10 the Guggenheim Museum held its annual International Gala. The night’s honorees are Angela Bulloch, Maurizio Cattelan, Liam Gillick, Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster, Douglas Gordon, Carsten Höller, Pierre Huyghe, Jorge Pardo, Philippe Parreno and Rirkrit Tiravanija.

Co-Chairs of the event include Stephanie Seymour Brant, Janna Bullock, Danielle Ganek, Agnes and Edward Lee, Amy Phelan, Kara and Stephen Ross, Jacqueline Sackler, Pamela Sanders, Jennifer Stockman and Owen Wilson. Christopher Burge will serve as the night’s auctioneer. Dinner by Great Performances. Music by Brightblack Morning Light.

Funds raised from the gala support the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation.

Meanwhile, Lady Amanda Harlech, Linda Evangelista and Steven Meisel will be guests of honoree Franca Sozzani, while honoree Carla Sozzani’s guests are Azzedine Alaïa, Stephanie Seymour and Peter Brant. Movado, a sponsor of the event, will bring Kerry Washington. Phillip Lim, Richard Chai and Alexander Wang are also expected to make their way down to Cipriani at 55 Wall Street, where the gala is scheduled to take place.

The fashion flock filed into the New Museum on Tuesday night to fete the opening of "Live Forever: Elizabeth Peyton," a retrospective of the artist's trademark small-scale oil portraits. Stephanie Seymour, Debbie Harry and Rachel Feinstein milled around the two-floor exhibit, which included a rendering of Marc Jacobs (who arrived to the museum with boyfriend Lorenzo Martone). The Dior spring/summer 2009 collection strode down a Paris catwalk earlier today to a tribal beat, with the models balanced on six-inch, metal "fertility goddess" heels as high as their sculptural, plaited head-dresses.

The clothes were obviously designed to appeal to Dior’s growing fan-base of high-profile, young, rich celebrity customers, including the pop singers Katy Perry and Lily Allen and the actresses Emma Watson and Eva Green, who sat front row with the likes of former supermodel, Stephanie Seymour, the Oscar-winning, French actress Marion Cotillard and the burlesque star, Dita Von Teese.
